Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists.

When I was in my youth, we never had pretty colored bowling balls! I randomly took this photo of a stack of beautiful colored bowling balls at my niece's birthday party. It wasn't till I cropped the purple ball that I noticed what was engraved... MOM! Photograph by Grace Dorado-Foster
Friday night at the gym was a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It was a great 2 hour dance-a-thon. I won this really cool metal water jug....the only prize that was purple! Photograph by Grace Dorado-Foster

Had our last day of school get together at Latitude 30. Couldn't resist taking a picture of the purple bowling ball! All the other moms were probably thinking I'm insane or something! Photograph by Laney Griffin Robinson
Another "Purple" shot at Latitude 30. Still looked like a crazy lady cuz I had to stand by the bubbles for a long time waiting for them to turn purple! Photograph by Laney Griffin Robinson

This was taken in Capri, Italy--I thought it was beautiful how these flowers just cascaded down the side of this building. In going back and looking at the hundreds of pictures I took while my mom and I were in Italy, it's weird, but you never see ANY clouds! The sky was blue like this all the time! This is in honor of you, Robin! This was taken in the Detroit Airport! I thought it was the coolest thing EVER! Photograph by Laney Griffin Robinson

PURPLE?! I don't mind the color purple, I'm just more of a pink girl. I was sure I didn't have anything in my house that was purple. Guess I was wrong! Photograph by Laney Griffin Robinson
